Duties of the Workshop Controller:
 

  • Managing and overseeing workshop operations to optimise efficiency and productivity
  • Supervising and supporting workshop staff to deliver excellent customer service and technical standards
  • Liaising with customers and keeping them informed on vehicle repairs and service updates
  • Planning and scheduling vehicle repairs and job allocations for the workshop team
  • Ensuring health and safety policies are adhered to within the workshop environment
  • Maintaining accurate workshop records and ensuring service targets are met

Experience Required:
 

  • Proven experience in a management role within a busy automotive workshop, ideally as a Workshop Controller or Service Advisor looking to step into a supervisory position
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to motivate a team
  • Excellent knowledge of automotive repair procedures and processes
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers and staff
  • Commitment to delivering high levels of customer satisfaction and technical excellence
