Duties of the Workshop Controller:
- Managing and overseeing workshop operations to optimise efficiency and productivity
- Supervising and supporting workshop staff to deliver excellent customer service and technical standards
- Liaising with customers and keeping them informed on vehicle repairs and service updates
- Planning and scheduling vehicle repairs and job allocations for the workshop team
- Ensuring health and safety policies are adhered to within the workshop environment
- Maintaining accurate workshop records and ensuring service targets are met
Experience Required:
- Proven experience in a management role within a busy automotive workshop, ideally as a Workshop Controller or Service Advisor looking to step into a supervisory position
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to motivate a team
- Excellent knowledge of automotive repair procedures and processes
- Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers and staff
- Commitment to delivering high levels of customer satisfaction and technical excellence
