  • Basic Salary: Dependent on experience
  • Hours: Monday – Friday 07:00 – 15:00 (some flexibility)

Our client is a family run, multi-site Commercial Garage with over 30 years trading experience in the HGV network; they are seeking a Workshop Cleaner, for their site based in the Southampton area.

Our client deals with several Haulage Businesses and Commercials enterprises, ensuring them whether they are purchasing a vehicle, or maintaining a Commercial Vehicle, they are providing both individual customers and large multinational companies an excellent service.

You will be providing support to the Vehicle Repair Workshop, by ensuring the working environment is clean, tidy, and safe.  

This position would suit self-motivated individuals who likes variability within their role and shares the same enthusiasm and energy as our client.

We’ve worked with this client for several years, and they provide a great working environment, and goes the extra mile to ensure a family ethos, providing seasonal gifts in both Christmas and New Year!

Duties of a Workshop Cleaner with our client
  • Liaise with Workshop controller to discuss daily duties
  • General Husbandry within the workshop & yard 
  • Sweeping and deep clean of workshop floor
  • Ensuring specialised tool store is kept well organised
  • Emptying of refuse and ensure recycling is placed in correct area
  • Steam cleaning of vehicles
  • Assisting with vehicle movements in the yard
  • Very occasional collection and delivering of vehicles & vehicle parts
  • Occasionally cleaning courtesy vehicles
  • Daily Cleaning of staff facilities & restroom areas.
