Vehicle Technician Vacancy in Christchurch, Dorset

Our reputable client is currently seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop in Christchurch, Dorset. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled technicians looking to work in a well-established workshop offering a competitive salary package and a supportive work environment.

Benefits

Competitive basic salary of £39,000 plus performance bonus
OTE potential of up to £45,000 per year
Monday to Friday working hours, 8:15 am to 5:15 pm + one in four Saturday mornings 
Friendly and professional team environment
Opportunity for career progression into managerial workshop roles

Duties

Carry out vehicle inspections and diagnosis on a variety of makes and models
Conduct scheduled maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards
Perform MOT testing as a beneficial but not essential qualification
Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
Accurately document work completed and communicate findings with customers
Maintain workshop tidiness and uphold health and safety standards
Assist in mentoring less experienced team members where required

Candidate profile

Solid technical skills with experience working as a Vehicle Technician
Ideally at diagnostic level, with Level 3 light vehicle maintenance NVQ or equivalent
MOT licence would be beneficial but is not essential
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work well within a team and independently
Enthusiastic and eager to develop technical skills further
