We are currently recruiting for a experienced Panel Beater to join a reputable bodyshop in Yeovil, Somerset. Duties
Repair or replace damaged vehicle body panels in line with manufacturer specifications
Dismantle and reassemble vehicle structures, chassis and framework efficiently and safely
Use appropriate tools, jigs and fixtures to ensure precise repairs according to safety standards
Attend continuous training on the latest repair techniques and technologies
Maintain high quality standards and ensure customer satisfaction with every repair
Keep the workshop and tools clean, safe, and well-maintained
Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively regarding progress and additional work needed
Support junior team members where appropriate and promote a positive working environment
Candidate spec
Minimum 2 years’ experience in vehicle panel repair and replacement
Knowledge of welding, jigging, and structural repair techniques
Familiarity with modern repair technologies including aluminium and high-strength steel
Attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Understanding of health and safety regulations, COSHH, and workshop protocols
Reliable, punctual, and professionally presented
Ideally holds IMI Accreditation in Panel Beating, with willingness to continue professional development
