SMART Repair Technician vacancy in Weston-Super-Mare 
  • Salary: Negotiable pending experience, plus additional performance-related bonus scheme paid monthly.
  • Hours: 40-hour week, 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday.
Our client, a reputable local automotive accident repair centre in the Weston-Super-Mare region, is currently looking to recruit a SMART Repair Technician to join their business.  

Report to the Bodyshop Manager and working as part of a team, your key responsibilities will include: 
  • Carry out all SMART repairs according to best practice procedures.
  • Meeting acceptable safety and quality standards.
  • Interpret and implement technical instruction data.
  • Use all paint mixing schemes and drying areas/equipment accurately for all paint repairs.
  • Seek clarification from the Centre Manager if a work order is not clear or seems incorrect.
  • Complete assigned jobs within the estimated repair/paint times.
  • Safeguard the customer’s vehicle and its contents while in the centre.
  • Ensure that all vehicles comply with safety standards when returned to customers.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer and industry guidelines.
  • Fulfil all tasks to the customer’s complete satisfaction.
In order to be eligible, you will need to have previous experience as a SMART Repair Technician (either mobile or workshop-based) or alternatively have relevant transferable automotive accident repair experience with skills like vehicle re-spraying and prepping. Overall, you will be a team player, have strong communication skills, be capable of working towards targets/KPI's, and be able to maintain high standards of housekeeping.
