We are currently looking for a dedicated Roadside Mechanic to join a leading UK breakdown and repair company serving Bromley, Kent and the surrounding areas. This role offers a fantastic mix of independent working and flexible scheduling, making it ideal for those who thrive in dynamic environments.   • Competitive basic salary of £50,600 per annum, with an OTE expected to reach £57,000

Duties

  • Respond to roadside breakdown assistance requests across Bromley, Kent, and surrounding areas
  • Diagnose and repair a diverse range of vehicle issues on-site
  • Work independently using a fully equipped company van
  • Provide excellent customer service to motorists in stressful situations
  • Conduct repairs on various vehicle types from small city cars to 4x4s and light commercial vehicles
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain accurate job documentation
  • Keep up to date with the latest automotive technologies through ongoing training
Candidate spec

  • Minimum Level 2 IMI/NVQ qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
  • Proven experience in mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic work
  • Full UK driving license with minimal points
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Friendly, calm, and confident personality with excellent communication skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours and availability for short-notice call-outs
  • Passion for helping customers and working in a fast-paced environment
