A not-to-be-missed opportunity has become available for an experienced and professional Parts Manager for our client's multi-franchise-approved commercial dealer group, managing their Cardiff and Newport parts departments.
Reporting to the Regional Parts Manager, you will receive a company car with a business fuel allowance and, on average, spend 3 to 4 days in the Cardiff centre and 1 to 2 days in the Newport centre. Responsible for around 15/20 Parts Advisors, Supervisors, and Delivery Drivers, your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day parts operations to support workshop and external customers.
- Cultivate a high-performing environment by mentoring, motivating and guiding the parts team.
- Organisation of van logistics and staffing coordination.
- Manage stock levels efficiently while minimising costs and ensuring timely and accurate departmental administration.
- Maintaining professional relationships with suppliers and external partners.
- Proactively grow trade and retail sales through exceptional service.
To be eligible, strong experience in automotive parts management is required, along with a UK driving licence with minimal points. Any experience in a commercial vehicle franchised dealership or with trucks and trailers would be highly beneficial.
Overall, you will have strong leadership and organisational skills, be proficient in stock management software (Keyloop/Kerridge preferred), and have excellent communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
