Are you an experienced automotive professional seeking a dynamic leadership opportunity within a leading retail branch? We are recruiting for an Assistant Branch Manager to join a thriving Bolton branch where your skills and experience can make a real impact. This is an excellent chance to join a well-established team in a role that offers growth, rewards, and the chance to be part of a top-performing branch.

As the Assistant Branch Manager, you will take on responsibility for supporting the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring sales targets are met while maintaining high standards of customer service and branch presentation. This role is ideal for someone with a background in vehicle parts sales, supervisory skills, and a mechanically minded approach. Prior experience in similar environments is essential, along with a full UK driving licence.

Benefits:
  • Competitive basic salary of £32,000 per annum
  • Realistic on target earnings of £39,000 per year
  • Performance-based bonus scheme with a maximum of £560 per month, subject to branch performance
  • 32 days holiday including bank holidays
  • Monday to Friday working hours from 9am to 5pm with a half-hour unpaid lunch break

Duties:
  • Support the Branch Manager in the daily running of the branch, ensuring excellent customer service
  • Assist in managing and motivating the branch team to meet and exceed sales and service goals
  • Actively promote and sell parts and associated products within set pricing structures
  • Ensure the branch presentation is always professional, clean, well-stocked, and secure
  • Manage stock levels, stock takes, and deliveries accurately and efficiently
  • Assist in training new staff members and identify training needs
  • Respond to alarm call outs as a key holder and operate necessary equipment including a forklift truck
  • Uphold the company's brand image and ensure health and safety policies are followed
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support branch operations
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in vehicle parts sales or similar retail environment
  • Proven supervision skills and confident leadership ability
  • Mechanically minded with an understanding of vehicle or trailer components
  • Full UK driving and towing licence
  • Professional attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet targets
