We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician to join their team at their Reading workshop. Duties:

  • Diagnose and repair HGVs using manufacturer-specific diagnostic equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, servicing, and repairs
  • Work with manufacturers such as MAN Truck and Bus, Isuzu Trucks, and Daimler Trucks
  • Ensure repair work is completed within manufacturer guidelines
  • Assist in resolving complex diagnostic issues and providing expert solutions
  • Support colleagues with their tasks and share industry knowledge
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety compliance
  • Complete all workshop documentation accurately and promptly
Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician with strong diagnostic skills
  • HGV manufacturer accreditation to Diagnostic Technician level preferred
  • Level 3 qualification desired; extensive experience considered
  • Valid LGV/HGV/PSV licence is advantageous
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Solution-oriented problem solver with excellent communication skills
  • Organised and able to meet deadlines
  • Flexible attitude and team player mindset
  • Additional certifications such as IRTEC or roadside assistance training are desirable
