Duties

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs to manufacturer and industry standards
  • Diagnose vehicle faults using modern diagnostic equipment and rectify issues efficiently
  • Perform safety inspections, MOT preparations, and routine vehicle checks
  • Support the training and mentoring of apprentices and junior technicians
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and quality standards
  • Support the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programmes
Candidate spec

  • Hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or possess comprehensive industry experience
  • Previous experience working on HGVs or completed an apprenticeship in heavy vehicle maintenance
  • Strong diagnostic skills and experience with vehicle electrical systems and troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to cover various shifts, including early, late, and rotating shift patterns
  • Enthusiastic, quality-focused, and committed to delivering excellent customer service
