Diagnostic Vehicle Technician Job Required

Our client, a reputable automotive service centre based in Bournemouth, Dorset, is actively seeking a skilled Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join their established team. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced technicians looking to enhance their career within a modern and well-equipped workshop environment.

Benefits

Competitive basic salary up to £55,000 per annum
Work Monday to Friday from 8am to 5.30pm
Saturdays optional at time and a half
Ongoing training, including hybrid and electric vehicle systems
Access to advanced diagnostic tools and technology
Supportive and professional team environment

Duties

Conducting vehicle diagnostics using the latest equipment
Performing mechanical repairs and electrical fault finding
Carrying out MOT testing (if qualified)
Diagnosing complex vehicle issues across all brands, with a specialism in some brands in particular
Ensuring work is completed to the highest standards and within specified timeframes
Maintaining accurate records of all work performed
Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times

Candidate spec

Ideally NVQ Level 3 or equivalent automotive qualification
MOT tester qualification is advantageous but not essential
Strong diagnostic skills with a keen eye for detail
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
Clean and tidy work ethic
Willingness to undertake additional training, including hybrid and electric vehicle systems
