Duties of the Service Manager include:
  • Overseeing all service and diagnostic processes to ensure high standards of customer service
  • Leading, coaching, and developing the service team to meet and exceed KPIs
  • Recruiting, onboarding, and performance managing service advisors
  • Ensuring compliance with brand standards, health and safety, and GDPR regulations
  • Monitoring performance metrics such as labour efficiency, sales, and costs
  • Creating targeted service campaigns to maximise revenue
  • Analysing customer feedback and competitor activities to improve service offerings
  • Fostering a positive dealership environment and promoting team collaboration
  • Attending manufacturer training sessions and internal meetings to stay informed of industry standards
Requirements for the Service Manager role:
  • Proven experience at a supervisory or managerial level within an automotive dealership
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturer service standards and performance KPIs
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
  • Ability to interpret performance data and implement improvements
  • Full valid UK driving licence
  • Experience working with workshop controllers and senior service advisors is highly desirable
