Automotive Bodyshop Technician Required in Cranleigh, Surrey
Pay: £40,000 - £44,000 Basic + Overtime opportunity 
Hours: 45 hours per week Monday - Friday with Saturdays on a rota 
  Are you an experienced and versatile Bodyshop Technician looking for a new challenge? Our client is opening a brand-new Bodyshop in Cranleigh, Surrey, and they are seeking a skilled Bodyshop Technician to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a thriving business and to contribute to the success of a modern, well-equipped workshop.

Duties

  • Repairing small to medium bodywork damage from start to finish, including dent pulling, filler application, sanding, priming, and painting (polishing not essential)
  • Stripping, preparing, and replacing damaged panels
  • Welding, fabrication, and panel alignment
  • Assessing vehicle damage and preparing repair plans
  • Managing insurance jobs, private work, and fleet repairs from intake to handover
  • Carrying out quality checks and final vehicle inspections
  • Maintaining workshop tools, equipment, and cleanliness standards
  • Completing all necessary paperwork of work carried out
Candidate spec

  • Proven experience as a Bodyshop Technician or a similar role
  • Competent in all aspects of body repairs from start to finish
  • A team player with good organisational skills
  • Able to work on a variety of insurance, private, and fleet repairs
  • Hold relevant qualifications and certifications in body repairs
