Are you an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor or Estimator looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading UK repair group for a skilled and proactive Job Title: VDA / Estimator to join their team. This is a fantastic role for a motivated professional wanting to work across multiple sites in the South West, providing vital support during busy periods and holidays. Duties

Estimating accident damage on vehicles of all makes and marques, accurately assessing the extent of repairs required
Using Audatex estimating software to prepare both electronic and manual repair estimates
Identifying the correct prescribed repair methods, ensuring compliance with Thatcham Repair Methods and BSi safety standards
Liaising effectively with insurance companies to obtain authorisation for repairs at estimated costs
Communicating repair methodology and ensuring customer understanding through clear explanations to technicians and engineers
Maintaining accurate records of estimates and repair processes, ensuring transparency and compliance
Supporting multiple sites across Exeter, Barnstaple, Plymouth, Redruth, and Torbay, ensuring consistent service delivery

Candidate spec

Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor or Estimator, ideally within a bodyshop environment
Proficiency with Audatex estimating software
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or ATA / IMI qualification preferred
Strong background in vehicle body repairs and diagnostics
Full UK Manual Driving Licence is essential
Good understanding of Thatcham repair methodologies and safety standards
Able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and organisational skills
