Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a new challenge within a reputable and busy workshop in Exeter? Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in commercial vehicle maintenance and repair to progress their career and earn a competitive salary.

Duties of a HGV Technician:
  • Conduct diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on HGV and heavy goods vehicles
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) and prechecks
  • Assist with breakdown cover and mobile service requirements as needed
  • Maintain high standards of work quality and safety compliance
  • Complete detailed service and repair documentation
  • Work closely with team members to ensure timely and efficient job completion
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
  • Proven experience working as an HGV Technician or Mobile HGV Technician
  • Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of HGV systems
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance and prechecks accurately
  • Flexibility to undertake mobile breakdowns and workshop duties
  • A valid UK driving licence; Class 1 or 2 licence is a bonus but not essential
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • About 2 or more years’ experience working within a commercial vehicle workshop or as a Mobile HGV Technician
