Reporting to the Sales Manager and working as part of a friendly team, you will trained up to become a fully experienced Car Sales Executive. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Talking and listening to customers to build rapport, understanding their requirements, and qualifying own understanding through discussion and gauging customers reactions.
- Demonstrating the most suitable options to the customer, understanding, and adapting to their buying strategy and encouraging them to experience the product through test drives.
- Agreeing the price and payment method and any finance arrangements with the customer direct, working within company guidelines.
- Positively participating in training and development opportunities to assist our client in achieving its aims and objectives.
- Liaising with the sales administration team to ensure product availability fits with customer's expectations, places the order, updates customer records and schedules any complementary services/additional work to be completed on the vehicle before the delivery date.
- Ensuring that each delivery is followed up with a personal call to check the customer is happy. Maintain contact with customers to build relationships and future business.
- Planning and organising own daily selling activity – for example by telephoning sales prospects (previous/existing customers or general enquiries) to obtain new business.
- Works with colleagues and other teams across the dealership to provide a seamless service to customers.
Our client is very open to considering individual with no prior car sales experience provided they have a UK driving licence with minimal points, some previous experience in a customer service/sales orientated role, and have a desire and passion to undertake a new challenge in the motor trade. Overall you will have excellent customer service skills, be IT literate, have a positive and helpful attitude and the drive, energy and commitment to seek every sales opportunity.
