Bodyshop Technician opportunity in Tewkesbury
  • Salary: £16-20 per hour pending experience.
  • Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm Monday to Friday.
Our client, a long-established and family-run automotive accident repair centre in the Tewkesbury region, is currently looking to hire an experienced Vehicle Panel Beater / Paint Sprayer.Working as part of a team and reporting to the Bodyshop Manager, this role offers you the opportunity to use your technical expertise and attention to detail to produce high-quality results.

Your daily responsibilities will include:
  • Undertake replacement and repair of damaged or compromised bodywork panels.
  • Complete chassis and framework repairs.
  • Accurately assess vehicle damage and apply appropriate methods to produce a high-quality repair.
  • Conduct bumper and door repair works as required.
  • Prepare vehicles for paint, including filler work, sanding, masking, and priming.
  • Carry out vehicle paint spraying and refinishing to a high standard.
  • Mix and apply paints using appropriate paint systems and equipment.
  • Ensure all panel beating, repair, and paint works meet internal and third-party quality standards.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure bodyshop operations run efficiently and safely.
To be eligible for this role, you will ideally be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Body Repair/Paint Refinishing as a minimum. Failing this, you will need to have at least 3/4 years of time-served experience as a Vehicle Panel Beater / Paint Sprayer. You will need to hold a driving licence, be a committed individual, and be a good team player.
