OTE: £70,000 per year + 
Hours: 45 hours per week on a rota system covering 24/7 operation  Are you an experienced breakdown technician seeking a new challenge within a leading brand? Our client is actively recruiting for a Mobile Breakdown Van Technician to join their dedicated team based in Croydon. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with a passion for maintaining high standards and delivering exceptional customer service.

As a Mobile Breakdown Van Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out roadside repairs and diagnostics to get vehicles back on the road efficiently. The role offers the chance to work with state-of-the-art tools and manufacturer-backed training, supporting your career growth in the automotive repair industry.

Duties

  • Conduct roadside vehicle repairs and diagnostics to resolve breakdowns swiftly
  • Complete detailed digital job card updates and work reports
  • Provide excellent customer service during roadside interventions
  • Work collaboratively within a team to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained
  • Maintain high levels of technical knowledge through ongoing training and manufacturer updates
  • Cover shifts on a rota basis, including evenings, nights, and weekends
Candidate spec

  • Recognised Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Previous experience as a service technician, mechanic or breakdown technician
  • Familiarity with Commercial vehicles is preferable but not essential
  • Strong team player with good communication skills
  • Responsible, self-motivated, and eager to develop new skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a dynamic roadside environment
