Commercial Vehicle Technician - Motherwell

  • Basic Salary: up to £39,000 + Shift Allowance + Overtime
  • Full-Time – Permanent Role
  • Car Technicians, Van Technicians and HGV Technicians are sought

We are currently seeking a skilled HGV or LCV Technician to join a busy and well-equipped fleet maintenance workshop in Motherwell. This is a permanent role working on a rotating double-day shift pattern, with enhanced overtime pay and long-term career development opportunities.

Shift Pattern:
  • Week 1: 07:30 – 16:00
  • Week 2: 12:30 – 20:00
  • Saturdays (when required): Paid at 2x rate after 12:00

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs on fleet vehicles
  • Work across a mix of HGVs and LCVs as required - car technicians will be happily employed to begin working on vans
  • Use diagnostic tools and fault-finding techniques
  • Complete documentation and defect reporting accurately
  • Maintain workshop safety, efficiency, and cleanliness
Ideal Individual Profile:
  • Level 3 qualified in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent skill level)
  • Experience with HGV or LCV maintenance or a background working as a car technician
  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • C1 / 7.5T licence beneficial but not essential
