Looking for an experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor to join a reputable automotive dealership in Southampton, Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Service Advisor to work within a modern, well-equipped workshop and showroom, delivering outstanding customer service and contributing to a successful aftersales operation.
As a Service Advisor, you will be the key point of contact for customers, ensuring a seamless service experience from vehicle drop-off to collection. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, accurately recording service requests, providing transparent updates during the vehicle’s progress, and presenting the final invoice alongside recommended service products. The role involves upselling service plans, warranties, and other vehicle care options to maximise customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.

- Taking accurate notes of customer service requirements and communicating these effectively to the workshop team
- Keeping customers updated with the progress of their vehicle’s repair or service
- Costing additional work recommended by technicians and gaining customer approval before proceeding
- Preparing and presenting accurate invoices and related paperwork
- Explaining the work undertaken and presenting suitable service products such as service plans and warranties to customers
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar motor trade role
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to upsell and suggest additional products with confidence
- IT literate, preferably with experience in CDK Drive or Kerridge systems
- Organised with good time-management skills
- Full UK driving license, ideally with a clean record
- Customer-focused attitude with a professional manner
- Previous experience working in franchised dealerships is preferred
