Commercial Vehicle Technician – Nottingham
  • Salary: £17.72 - £20.88 per hour (£38,300 - £45,100 basic salary depending on experience) + Overtime + Shift Allowance
Working Hours: Rotating Shift Pattern
  • Week One: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 3:30pm
  • Week Two: Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm – Midnight, Friday 2:30pm – 10:00pm
  • Saturdays: Rota as required (minimum two per month) paid at overtime rates

Our client, a leading Commercial Vehicle Dealership in Nottingham, is looking to recruit a Commercial Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician looking to develop their career with manufacturer training, excellent earning potential, and long-term career progression.

Roles and Responsibilities as a Commercial Vehicle Technician:
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on commercial vehicles
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
  • Complete vehicle inspections in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT testing
  • Work efficiently to meet workshop productivity targets
  • Complete all job cards and workshop documentation accurately
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Attend manufacturer training courses to further develop technical skills
What Our Client Expects from Their Commercial Vehicle Technicians:
  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, IMI, BTEC or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Previous experience working within a Commercial Vehicle workshop environment
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Enthusiastic, hardworking, and self-motivated attitude
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • IRTEC accreditation would be advantageous but is not essential
  • HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence would be beneficial but is not essential
