Mobile Alloy Wheel Technician needed in North Shields
  • Basic Salary: Up to £34,000
  • OTE: £40,000
  • Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday between 8am and 6pm - Saturday on a rota basis - 40 Hours a week.
  • This role is suitable for Technicians, Tyre Fitters, and Alloy Wheel Specialists.
Our client is increasing its regional and national coverage and is in need of a Mobile Alloy Wheel Technician.

What is needed?
  • NVQ Level 2 Minimum or, if you have some experience in the trade and you're looking for a trainee position, our client is interested in hearing from you.
  • Previous experience as an Alloy Wheel Technician would be good, yet practical skill and a willingness to train will be equally helpful in getting you through the door.
  • You must also have a full UK driving licence 
  • Tyre Fitting experience or a background working on alloy wheels will naturally be an advantage for the top money.
What is the job role?
  • Preparing wheels for painting/lacquering using shrink-wrap to protect the Tyres on non-diamond cut wheels
  • Sending vehicles to the next department as instructed by the internal IT system
  • Using shot-blasters to key-up alloy wheels
  • Using orbital sanders to remove small chips/scuffs in the alloy wheel
  • Proficient use of a Lathe
