We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop in Lymington, Hampshire. This role sits within a well-established, customer-focused site delivering professional automotive services across MOT, servicing, diagnostics, tyres, wheel alignments, and brake pad and disc replacements, helping keep local vehicles roadworthy and safe.

The workshop prides itself on accurate diagnostics and swift, reliable repairs, supported by nearly 100 years of combined motor industry experience. Benefits:
  • Basic Salary of up to £40,000
  • Christmas shutdown of 3 to 5 days, depending on the calendar, plus the day before Christmas Eve through to the first trading day, with no deduction from holiday allowance

Duties:
  • Carry out vehicle servicing across makes and models, delivering work to a consistently high standard
  • Complete VHC inspections and ensure correct checks are completed and recorded
  • Diagnose, inspect, and repair faults, with a strong focus on accuracy and workmanship
  • Perform brake and suspension work, including maintenance and replacement as required
  • Support the smooth running of the workshop in a fast-paced environment, including cars and vans
  • Maintain a professional, honest approach by identifying where your strengths are best suited within the workshop
Requirements:
  • Proven workshop experience as a Vehicle Technician, with confidence in service work
  • Ability to complete VHCs and handle brake and suspension jobs
  • Competence working on mainstream vehicles and, ideally, comfort working on vans as well
  • MOT experience is desirable, with MOT-trained or qualified Vehicle Technicians able to access the top end of the salary range
  • A reliable, practical attitude and the ability to clearly explain your strengths and limitations
  • Willingness to work to Mon to Fri hours, 08:00 to 17:00, with flexibility when needed
