  • Salary: Negotiable basic salary pending experience, with an uncapped bonus scheme available.
  • Hours: Mon-Fri 9:00am-6:00pm with a day off in the week, Sat 9:00am-5:00pm, and Sun 10:00am-4:00pm on a rota.

Due to business expansion following the acquisition of a new dealership, a not-to-miss opportunity has become available for an experienced and professional New/Used Car Sales Manager at our client's franchise-approved car dealer in Gloucester.
 
Reporting to the Group Sales Director and responsible for a brand-new car sales team, you will take full responsibility for the sales operation across new and used vehicles, creating a high-performing culture while delivering exceptional customer experiences. This is not a desk-based management role. Our client is looking for a hands-on, visible leader who enjoys being on the showroom floor, engaging with customers, supporting the team and leading from the front. Key responsibilities will include: 
 
  • Lead, motivate and develop the sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Drive new vehicle sales alongside a used car stock of 30–40 vehicles.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of customer service and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the sales process from enquiry to delivery, ensuring excellent conversion rates.
  • Monitor stock levels, vehicle preparation and merchandising standards.
  • Deliver strong F&I performance and profitability.
  • Recruit, coach and develop team members to maximise their potential.
  • Build relationships within the local community and identify new business opportunities.
  • Produce accurate reporting and ensure compliance with manufacturer and company standards.

To be eligible, you will live in the Gloucester region or ideally within a reasonable commuting distance of Gloucester. Recent or current car sales management experience within a franchise-approved dealership would be desirable, but is non-essential, and our client is willing to consider Business Manager/Sales Controllers or very experienced Car Sales Executives with strong F&I performance, looking to take the next step in their career. You will need to be motivated/self-driven, adaptable, and have total drive and ambition. You will become the role model for our client's brands, where the ability to lead by example will be as important as the results you deliver. Delighting customers is what sets our client apart, and being prepared to lead from the front is a key requirement. A UK driving license with minimal points is also essential.
