Workshop Controller - Bristol.

Our client, a multi-franchise car dealer group established across South West England, is looking to hire a Workshop Controller for one of their busy franchise-approved car dealerships in Bristol.

Reporting to the Aftersales Manager and accountable for a team of Vehicle Technicians, as a Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for running the day-to-day function of the Service Department, allocating work, motivating and supervising the team in the workshop and ensuring safety, standards & efficiency by the Vehicle Technicians each day. You will work closely with our client's Service Advisors to ensure all work booked in is achievable and planned to meet customer expectations, industry standards and Vehicle Technician workflow.

To be eligible, you will ideally live in the Bristol region or within a reasonable commuting distance to Bristol and will need to have a proven track record in running a successful automotive workshop for the past three years, ideally within a franchise-approved car dealership. Overall, you will have excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills and team orientation, be results-oriented, have problem-solving and decision-making skills, put a focus on quality and reliability, and be IT literate. You will also need to have a UK driving license with minimal points.
