Our client, a well-established organisation in the automotive industry, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Junior Warranty Claims Assessor to become a key part of their expanding repairs team based in Reading, Berkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated professionals with a background in automotive service or technical roles to progress their career within a dynamic environment. The Warranty Claims Assessor will play a vital role in assessing warranty repairs for motorists across the UK, ensuring high standards of service and technical accuracy.

Duties as a Warranty Claims Assessor:
  • Assess warranty repair requests using in house software.
  • Discuss repairs with workshops and customers via telephone, email, and our systems.
  • Taking inbound and outbound calls.
  • Ensure correct diagnosis costs and causes for failures of mechanical and electrical components.
  • Check parts and labour costs are accurate and source reconditioned/ refurbished parts where appropriate.
  • Processing customer contributions towards repairs.
  • Excellent understanding of warranty cover levels.
  • Automotive/ mechanical experience is necessary, eg service / parts advisor, engineer, technician, or service technician.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Abiding to GDPR.
  • Any other duties your manager reasonably asks you to perform.
Requirements for the Warranty Claims Assessor / Service Advisor role:
  • Automotive or mechanical background with experience as a service advisor, technician, or engineer
  • Strong customer service skills with excellent communication ability
  • Knowledge of warranty procedures and claims processing
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and industry software
  • Ability to manage repairs efficiently and accurately
  • Organised with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills
