MOT Tester / Prep Technician Opportunity 
  • Location: Derby
  • Salary: OTE Up to £42,500
  • Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00am – 17:00pm + Alternate Saturdays 08:00am – 12:00pm (42.5 Hours Per Week)
Our client, a well-established main dealership in Derby, is looking to recruit an experienced MOT Tester / Prep Technician to join their busy workshop. Roles and Responsibilities as an MOT Tester / Prep Technician:
  • Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations
  • Complete vehicle preparation work on retail and customer vehicles
  • Carry out servicing, inspections, and light mechanical repairs
  • Identify and report any additional repair work required
  • Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer and dealership standards
  • Complete all job cards and workshop documentation accurately
  • Work closely with the workshop team to maximise efficiency and customer satisfaction
What Our Client Expects from Their MOT Tester / Prep Technicians:
  • Valid Class 4 MOT Tester licence
  • Level 3 NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Previous experience working within a dealership or professional workshop
  • Good servicing and mechanical repair skills
  • High attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship
  • Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 points)
