Van Technician needed in Carlisle

  • £45,705 OTE

Our client, a renowned commercial vehicle business, is seeking a Van Technician to join their team in a role in Carlisle. 

Our client is encouraging individuals with Van Technician experience who have dealership experience, but car technicians with some experience working on vans are also encouraged to apply!

What will the successful Van Technician do?
  • Inspect and repair vehicles to DVSA standards including MOT preparation and presentation to test.
  • Fault diagnosis including the use of specialist market leading diagnostic equipment.
  • General mechanical and electrical repairs.
  • Display excellent customer service and a dedication to keeping our customer’s vehicles on the road.
The successful Van Technician will have:
  • Level 3 vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent skill level.
  • Experience as a Van or Car Technician.
  • The ability to work to a high standard.
  • The ability to work well in a team.
  • A can do attitude & a desire to develop their knowledge and skills.
  • An awareness of the importance of Health and Safety compliance.
  • Own set of tools.
  • Full UK Drivers License.
The successful Van Technician will get:
  • Basic Salary up to £42,190
  • 2 week rota - early and late shifts 1 in 2 Saturday mornings paid at overtime
  • Week 1 is 06:00 - 15:30 Monday to Friday and Week 2 is 13:00 - 22:30 Monday to Friday
    Alternate Saturday mornings: 07:00 - 12:00 
  • Access to industry leading training from the outset and throughout.
  • The chance to join a well-established commercial business. 
  • Learn to work on HGVs or stick to vans if that is what you prefer.
