Duties:
  • Prepare accurate vehicle damage assessments in line with insurer and customer requirements
  • Liaise effectively with inspectors, customers, and insurers to obtain authorisation for repairs
  • Manage parts orders ensuring correct specifications, timely deliveries, and proper labelling
  • Communicate repair estimates clearly to workshop staff, supporting smooth workflow
  • Maintain detailed records of damage assessments and parts management for audit purposes
  • Support the workshop on total loss vehicles and facilitate effective repair planning
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies and ensure compliance with industry regulations
  • Carry out any additional duties as directed by the management team to ensure workshop efficiency
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor or in a similar estimating role within an accident repair environment
  • Proven ability to complete damage estimates independently in accordance with industry standards
  • Strong knowledge of insurer requirements, estimating systems (such as Audatex or Autoflow), and repair procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Effective communicator able to liaise with insurers, bodyshop staff, and customers
  • IMI Accreditation in Vehicle Damage Assessment is preferred but not essential
  • Familiarity with parts verification, total loss procedures, and negotiation with insurers is advantageous
  • Valid UK driving licence is required
