Are you an experienced Workshop Controller ready to take the next step in your career? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Workshop Manager to join a well-established dealership in Wickford, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to lead and inspire a team while delivering top-quality service to customers.

Benefits:
  • Competitive basic salary of £43,000 per annum
  • Opportunity to lead and manage a dynamic workshop team
  • Monday to Friday working hours, 08:00am to 17:30pm

Duties:
  • Effectively manage a team of workshop technicians to meet departmental goals
  • Implement and maintain efficient procedures and administrative systems
  • Handle customer vehicle bookings, prepare estimates using Auto-data, and keep customers updated on progress
  • Create invoices from job cards and process payments accurately
  • Answer inbound calls, handle enquiries professionally, and direct them appropriately
  • Maintain accurate customer records and ensure all workshop processes are up-to-date
  • Support parts procurement and stock control activities
  • Assist with health and safety compliance and other operational duties as required
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or Workshop Manager within the motor trade
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Good organisational and administrative abilities
  • Knowledge of workshop processes and efficiency improvement strategies
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service focus
  • Valid UK driving licence suitable for the role
