Our client is looking for an Accountant to join its team in the North Yorkshire area. You must have previous dealership experience within the motor trade to be considered for this role.

This Group Accountant Role is the perfect opportunity for: 
  • A Dealership Accountant who is looking to step up and be mentored over a period of time into the Group Accountant’s role; or
  • An existing Group Accountant looking for a change
  • Someone who lives locally
  • Or someone looking to relocate - we can talk you through life in the area and discuss relocation
Within this Group Accountant role, your typical duties will include:
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Prepayments
  • Accruals
  • Purchase Ledger Payment Run
  • Balance sheet reconciliations 
  • Journal postings
  • Payroll authority, checking & loading onto the bank 
  • Month-end payroll summary                                  
  • Payroll exceptions (bonus/overtime accruals)
  • Sending out sales ledger statements                                     
  • Fixed Asset Register (manual file of copy invoices kept)                  
  • Payroll exceptions (bonus/overtime accruals)   
  • Sending out sales ledger statements  
  • Aftersales reconciliations
  • Setting up PAYE /VAT payments      
  • Working closely alongside the Group FD
