HGV Technician Required in Burgess Hill for Commercial Dealership!

Pay: £19 - £24 Per Hour DOE 
Hours: 42.5 Hours per week over shifts Monday - Friday - Early & Lates 

Our client, a well-established commercial vehicle dealership in Burgess Hill, is seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to develop their career within a modern, fast-paced environment.

Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate between £20 and £24 per hour, dependent on experience and skills
  • Potential earnings of up to £53,000 per year including bonus and overtime
  • Shift pattern of 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with alternating early and late shifts
  • Overtime paid at time and a half
  • 31 days holiday including bank holidays, increasing to 33 with service

  • Working on modern vehicles with up-to-date diagnostic equipment and facilities
Duties:
  • Repairing, diagnosing, servicing and maintaining heavy goods vehicles to a high standard
  • MOT preparation and compliance
  • Completing job cards accurately and efficiently
  • Working on vehicles mainly under five years of age
  • Adhering to high safety standards and company procedures
  • Contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team environment
  • Participating in alternate Saturday work when required, paid at time and a half
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in heavy vehicle maintenance
  • Proven experience in HGV or heavy vehicle repair and servicing
  • Ability to produce quality workmanship in a high-paced environment
  • Own toolkit
  • Full UK driving licence, HGV and PSV licences desirable but not essential
  • Ability to read and write job cards concisely
  • IRTEC qualification preferred but not essential
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices on-site
