HGV Technician Vacancy - Southampton

  • Competitive salary of up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications
  • OTE of approximately £52,000 including overtime
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 3.30 pm to 00.00 am, i.e. 40 hours per week.

Duties:
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standards
  • Diagnose and rectify all types of faults effectively and efficiently
  • Work carefully on all vehicles, ensuring all safety precautions are observed on the premises
  • Liaise with the parts department to source and attain necessary components
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to
  • Accurately complete clocking, job cards, and service sheets in a timely manner
  • Maintain a high standard of workshop cleanliness and organisation
  • Maintain a thorough and current product knowledge, attending relevant training courses to stay updated
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a HGV Technician, ideally within a commercial vehicle dealership
  • Relevant Level 3 qualifications or equivalent credentials
  • Full driving licence; HGV Licence would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality work standards
  • Positive attitude, team player, and excellent communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
