Our client, a reputable independent garage in Cranleigh, Surrey, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join their professional team. This role offers a fantastic chance for experienced technicians to work in a supportive environment that values expertise, quality, and ongoing development.

Benefits:
  • Basic salary up to £55,000 depending on experience
  • Bonus of over £6,000 annually on top of the basic salary
  • Estimated OTE of approximately £55,000 based on core hours and performance
  • Monday to Friday working hours, 8:30am to 5:00pm
  • Optional Saturday overtime (1 in 4 Saturdays, 8:30am to 1:00pm) that contributes towards monthly bonus
  • 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • On-site secure parking and opportunities for ongoing training and career progression

Duties:
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and fault finding on a broad range of vehicles, including prestige makes
  • Carry out mechanical repairs and routine servicing to manufacturer standards
  • Identify and resolve intermittent faults that require detailed diagnostic work
  • Support engine rebuilds, timing chain repairs, and software updates using OEM tools and parts
  • Ensure high-quality repairs and exceptional customer satisfaction
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Level 3 qualifications in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
  • MOT Tester qualification is desirable but can be obtained through the employer if not already held
  • Experience with electrical diagnostics and tools such as Autel, Autologic, VIDA, or ODIS
  • Attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and a willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team
