HGV Technician - Liverpool 

Are you an experienced Commercial Vehicle (HGV) Technician seeking a rewarding opportunity within a reputable dealership in Liverpool?

We are currently recruiting for skilled HGV Technicians to join a leading main dealer in the area.

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of £18.91, multiplied by a shift premium of 1.153 (totaling approximately £21.80 per hour), plus a Technician Grade Bonus.

The role operates on a 4 on 4 off day shift pattern from 6am to 6pm, providing a balanced work schedule.

The company also provides generous annual leave of 240 hours including bank holidays, along with numerous staff benefits.

Duties:
  • Carry out maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on all types of commercial vehicles including HGVs, buses, and coaches
  • Fault diagnosis and testing to ensure safe and compliant vehicle operation
  • Complete all repair documentation accurately and efficiently
  • Work closely with the workshop team and report to the shift supervisor
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in all work carried out
Individual requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Commercial Vehicle (HGV) Technician in a main dealer environment
  • Level 2 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (City & Guilds or NVQ)
  • Current IRTEC accreditation is essential
  • Proven experience working on HGVs, buses, or coaches
  • Strong diagnostic skills and technical knowledge
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or within a team
