Salary: Up to £55,000 Basic + Bonus

Our client, a leading UK accident repair group, is looking to recruit an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor to join their busy and well-established bodyshop in Stockport. About The Role: 
  • As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for inspecting damaged vehicles and accurately assessing the extent of repairs, associated costs, and repair timescales. You will identify the appropriate repair methods, prepare and maintain electronic and manual estimates, and liaise with insurers to obtain repair authorisation.
  • You'll also work closely with customers, technicians, and engineers to explain repair methodologies and ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
  • This role involves assessing a wide range of vehicle makes and models, so you'll need to stay up to date with the latest manufacturer repair methods, insurer requirements, and industry best practices. Working collaboratively with the wider bodyshop team is essential to delivering an exceptional customer experience
We're looking for someone with:
  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, ATA or IMI qualifications (preferred)
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor, Estimator or within a busy bodyshop environment
  • Audatex experience
  • A good understanding of vehicle repair methods and insurance processes
  • A full UK driving licence
Applications are also welcomed from VDA Trainees or Improvers who have recently started their career in vehicle damage assessment. Salary will reflect experience and qualifications.
