Our client, a leading and well-established commercial vehicle dealership in Preston, is expanding their team with a brand new evening shift opportunity. Duties:
  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HGVs in accordance with manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults efficiently
  • Complete job cards and all associated paperwork accurately
  • Adhere to Health & Safety and DVSA standards at all times
  • Support shift operations in a rota basis, ensuring continuous workshop productivity
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified HGV Technician NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Proven experience in HGV maintenance and repair in a commercial workshop environment
  • Experience with diagnostics and fault-finding
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work safely under pressure
  • Valid HGV Class 2 Licence is advantageous
  • Computer literate
  • Flexible approach to shift work and team-oriented mindset
