An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mobile Vehicle Technician to join a successful and growing automotive business covering Northampton and the surrounding areas with a reputable brand.
This is the perfect opportunity for a qualified technician looking for greater work-life balance without sacrificing earnings. Working a 4-day week, you'll enjoy a regular extra day off while working independently, delivering exceptional customer service and carrying out servicing and repairs at customers' homes or workplaces.
You'll be provided with a fully equipped company vehicle, the latest tools and equipment, and ongoing support to help you succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer locations to carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately and efficiently.
- Work on a variety of vehicles, including passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
- Complete warranty repairs where required.
- Carry out vehicle health checks and advise on any additional work needed.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in line with manufacturer specifications.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, acting as a professional ambassador for the business.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and job records accurately.
- Build strong relationships with customers across your local area.
Requirements:
- Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- At least three years' experience working as a Vehicle Technician.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working on both passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) would be advantageous, although not essential.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
- A positive attitude and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
