Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician or MOT tester seeking a rewarding opportunity in Preston? Our client, a respected main dealer group, is looking to recruit a skilled Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester to join their professional team. This role offers a competitive basic salary, excellent earning potential, and comprehensive benefits package within a dynamic automotive environment.

  • Up to £35,000 basic salary depending on experience
  • OTE of £45,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday working week, with Saturdays on a rota

Duties:
  • Service and repair vehicles, including some diagnostics
  • Conduct MOT tests alongside vehicle servicing
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and safety
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding work progress
  • Keep records accurate and up to date
  • Assist with basic fault diagnosis and repair
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a vehicle technician or MOT tester
  • Holding an NVQ in Motor Vehicle Technology through IMI or City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent)
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills 
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Enthusiastic with a drive to develop a career within the motor trade
  • Knowledge of manufacturer procedures and standards is desirable
  • Dedicated to delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service
