Are you an experienced vehicle technician seeking a new challenge in an established, family-run dealership? We are working on behalf of an independent owned dealership in Reading that is looking to recruit a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their busy team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment with excellent training and development prospects.
Benefits:
- Basic salary of up to £40,000 depending on experience plus bonus potential (£4,000)
- Established dealership environment with access to manufacturer training programmes
- Monday to Friday working schedule, with no weekends required
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Opportunity to work on all makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles

- Conducting service checks and diagnostic work on a variety of vehicles
- Performing repairs and maintenance tasks including MOT testing (advantageous but not essential)
- Carrying out wheel alignments and ensuring workshop standards are maintained
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional image
- Ensuring tools, equipment and workshop standards are upheld
- Any other duties related to vehicle servicing and repairs as required
- Full UK driving licence
- Relevant qualifications, ideally NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Proven experience as a vehicle technician or in similar roles
- MOT testing experience advantageous but not essential
- Motivated with a positive attitude and a desire to expand technical knowledge
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain workshop standards
