As a Service Advisor, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers requiring vehicle servicing, repairs, or maintenance. Your role is to deliver a seamless, professional experience that enhances customer satisfaction, maximises service sales, and builds long-term loyalty. Managing communication efficiently and accurately documenting customer requirements are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers warmly, ensuring they feel valued and confident in our service.
- Clearly communicate the range of services, repairs, and additional products available.
- Promote and upsell services, warranties, accessories, and loyalty memberships to boost departmental performance.
- Accurately record customer vehicle details, service requirements, and obtain necessary authorisations.
- Follow up with customers using structured systems to ensure satisfaction and future business.
- Manage service and parts sales, including warranty policies and promotional offers.
- Ensure reception areas are professional, well-maintained, and adequately staffed.
- Oversee accurate invoicing and job costing to maintain financial integrity.
- Liaise effectively with workshop staff to ensure smooth scheduling and vehicle flow.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, resolving issues promptly and courteously.
- Handle administration tasks related to appointments, paperwork, and customer records efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to record and handle detailed information accurately.
- Customer-focused mentality with a professional and friendly approach.
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar automotive customer service role is preferred.
- Technical knowledge of vehicle servicing, repairs, and warranty procedures is advantageous.
- Ability to process payments precisely and efficiently.
- Up-to-date knowledge of warranty procedures, vehicle legislation, and trade practices.
- Familiarity with computerised recording systems and reporting tools.
