Are you a skilled Vehicle Service Technician looking for a new opportunity to grow your career? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable automotive employer in Colchester, Essex, who seek a motivated and experienced Vehicle Service Technician to join their busy service team. This role offers a fantastic package aligned with industry standards and provides a chance to develop your skills within a forward-thinking environment.

Benefits:
  • Competitive basic salary of £34,000 per annum with uncapped earning potential including bonuses
  • Performance-based additional earning opportunities up to £6,780 OTE
  • Opportunities for manufacturer-approved training and development
  • Working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am to 12:30pm
  • Supportive team environment with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
Duties:
  • Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles to ensure quality standards
  • Perform inspections and checks in line with manufacturer guidelines
  • Fit additional accessories requested by customers accurately and professionally
  • Conduct vehicle health checks and report any additional work required
  • Complete basic diagnosis and perform minor repairs on both mechanical and electrical systems
  • Conduct vehicle servicing following manufacturer instructions and customer requests
  • Carry out warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer protocols
  • Test vehicles on road to ensure all faults are rectified before returning to customers
  • Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and to a high standard
Requirements:
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
  • Relevant motor industry experience, either brand-specific or general independent garage experience
  • Full, valid UK driving licence
  • Self-motivated, team supportive, and eager to further develop skills
  • Able to work to high standards and deliver excellent customer service
  • Previous brand experience or diagnostic, MOT, and EV experience are desirable but not essential as training will be provided
