Vehicle Compound & Sales Driver required in Cardiff.
  • Salary: £28,764 per annum.
  • Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm, Fridays 8:30am-4:00pm.

Our client, a franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership in the Cardiff region, is currently looking to hire a Commercial Vehicle Compound & Sales Driver to join their busy Sales Operations team.

Reporting to the Sales Operations Supervisor and working as part of a professional and friendly team, your main duties will include ensuring the efficient movement, storage, collection and delivery of vehicles across the dealership network and to customers. You will be responsible for accepting vehicle deliveries, maintaining accurate vehicle locations on site, preparing vehicles for Pre-Delivery Inspection and third-party suppliers, and ensuring all vehicles are presented to the highest possible standard. You will also carry out vehicle collections and deliveries to customers, suppliers and bodyshops, complete vehicle inspections, report any damage or mechanical concerns, and ensure company procedures are followed at all times. In addition, you will safely operate the company vehicle transporter where required, ensuring full tachograph compliance and adherence to all road safety regulations.

To be eligible, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence with an active Class 1 license, ideally with minimal points. You should be organised, reliable and capable of working independently while managing multiple vehicle movements throughout the day. Excellent customer service skills are essential as you will regularly represent the business when delivering and collecting vehicles. Experience operating a vehicle transporter and knowledge of tachograph regulations would be highly advantageous but are not essential, as full training can be provided.
