Vehicle Trailer/Towbar Sales and Service Advisor - Cardiff
  • Salary: £26,208 per annum, with a sales bonus up to £560 per month, subject to performance.
  • Hours: Average 37.5-hour week. 9:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday.

Our client, a nationwide vehicle trailer/towbar specialist, is currently looking to recruit a Sales and Service Advisor for their branch in Cardiff. 

Reporting to the Branch Manager and working as part of a friendly team, your responsibilities shall include:
  • Actively sell (face to face and over the telephone) and promote our client's trailers/parts/associated equipment in a trade counter environment.
  • Serve customers politely and efficiently either at the counter, off-site or on the telephone.
  • Provide professional and timely advice on trailers/services and towing accessories.
  • Advise and take orders for trailer hire and towbar fitting, updating the diary accordingly. Liaise with the workshop team as required.
  • Ensure all stock orders received are shelved at the earliest opportunity and are presented safely, tidily and attractively. Displays should be updated and maintained regularly to maximise customer interest.
  • If applicable, assisting in the workshop building small trailers and servicing the hire fleet of trailers/towbars.
To be eligible, you shall need to live within a reasonable commuting distance of Cardiff and ideally have a UK driving licence with minimal points. Experience working in a customer service-oriented role within the automotive industry would be highly advantageous; however, our client is willing to consider individuals with no experience in the motor trade but a strong track record in a similar customer service-oriented role. Overall, you will have strong customer service skills, be a team player, and have a methodical and organised approach to your workload with a focus on driving additional revenue through our client's business where possible. Mechanical experience or experience of fitting trailers/towbars would also be advantageous; however is non-essential.
