Vehicle Panel Beater Opportunity in Swindon. 
  • Salary: Negotiable pending experience, with a performance-related bonus providing on-target earnings up to £52,000 per annum. 
  • Hours: 42.5-hour week. 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch break.

Our client, a large automotive accident repair centre based in Swindon, is currently looking to recruit a Panel Beater to join their business.  Working as part of a team and reporting to the General Manager, this role offers you the opportunity to use your technical expertise and attention to detail to produce high-quality results.

Your daily responsibilities will include:
  • Dismantle and repair damaged vehicles by either repairing damaged panels or by replacing those beyond repair. All equipment used, including jigs, fixtures and welding equipment, will be operated as per the instructions, level of qualification and the prescribed safety standards.
  • Adhere to the manufacturer’s literature and modification bulletins as appropriate to the repair and replacement of chassis and panel work. Where appropriate, attend training courses to enable you to be updated on new techniques and product development.
  • Handle all vehicles with due care and attention, ensuring that customer care/satisfaction is always maintained, keeping the company’s tools and equipment safe and in a clean, workable condition.
  • To be aware of and adhere to all the housekeeping and health and safety regulations and policies applicable to your position and working environment.
In order to be eligible, you will need to have current or recent experience working as a Panel Beater. Formal qualifications to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent would be desirable; however, our client is willing to consider individuals with at least 3 years "on the job" panel beating experience who can work to their meticulous standards. Overall, you will have a good eye for detail, be a team player with good communication skills, have an aptitude for multitasking, and have a UK driving licence with minimal points. Individuals with an ATA accreditation or experience working to BSI 10125 Kitemark standards would be highly beneficial, but it is non-essential.
