An established and highly regarded main dealer in Northampton is looking for a Parts Advisor to join its busy and successful parts operation.
The role operates within a fast-paced, multi-brand environment, dealing with workshop requirements, trade customers and counter sales, so the ideal candidate will be organised, adaptable and confident managing multiple enquiries and priorities throughout the day.
Responsibilities:
- Assist workshop technicians, trade customers and retail customers with parts enquiries.
- Identify, source and order the correct parts efficiently.
- Process parts orders, invoices, returns and credits accurately.
- Use computerised parts and dealership systems to manage orders and stock.
- Liaise with suppliers and monitor outstanding orders and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and keep the parts department organised.
- Deal with counter sales and provide excellent customer service.
- Work closely with the workshop to ensure parts are available when required.
- Manage multiple enquiries and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Support the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the parts operation.
Requirements:
- Previous automotive parts or Parts Advisor experience
- Previous experience using automotive parts, dealership or stock management systems would be a strong advantage.
- Computer literate and confident learning and using new systems.
- A switched-on, proactive and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment.
- A full UK driving licence
