We are currently seeking a motivated Vehicle Technician to join a reputable automotive workshop in Winchester, Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional looking to develop their career within a well-established team operating a state-of-the-art facility.

We have worked with this client for over five years, and they have a strong commitment to employee wellbeing, regular pay reviews, and investing in their team through continuous training. The management team is highly supportive and understands the importance of work-life balance, with a friendly, no-pressure work environment.

Benefits:
  • Competitive basic salary dependent on experience, ranging from £28,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience and skill set.
  • Uncapped performance bonus with top earners exceeding £45,000 including bonuses
  • Monday to Friday working hours (08:00 – 16:30), with occasional overtime until 17:00 paid at standard rates
  • Supportive team environment with a strong, stable team of 20 including office staff
  • Fully equipped workshop, part of the RMI Training Centre for ongoing skill development

Duties:
  • Servicing a wide range of vehicles and where skill set is suitable, performing diagnostics using modern diagnostic tools
  • Performing repairs including brake, clutch, and timing belt replacements
  • Maintaining workshop standards in line with health & safety regulations
  • Assisting with technical diagnostics and technical advice to team members when needed
  • Supporting the team’s workload to ensure excellent customer service and operational standards
Requirements:
  • Some experience as a Technician in an automotive workshop
  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
  • Ability to work efficiently and focus on high-quality results
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude and a desire for continuous improvement
  • Ideally, relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in motor vehicle maintenance
