- Basic Salary: Circa £45,000 (Negotiable depending on experience)
- Working Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
- No Weekends
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a well-established and growing independent dealership in Milton Keynes.
The business has recently relocated to a modern, purpose-built site and its busy service department is continuing to grow. With an MOT bay close to opening and the workshop already booking well in advance, they are looking to strengthen the team with an experienced Technician who can take on a senior role within the workshop.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Technician looking to move away from the pressures, targets and weekend working often associated with main dealerships, while continuing to work on a wide range of modern vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
- Advanced diagnostics and fault finding
- General mechanical repairs
- Brakes, suspension, tyres and air conditioning
- Working on modern petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles
- Preparing vehicles for MOT and general workshop maintenance
- Identifying additional work and providing accurate technical feedback
- Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Working as part of an experienced and supportive workshop team
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Senior Technician / Master Technician with strong diagnostic and modern mechanical experience.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Current hands-on mechanical experience
- Experience working on modern vehicles
- EV/hybrid experience is highly desirable
- MOT Tester Licence would be advantageous, but is not essential
- A professional approach and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and take responsibility for your work
- A stable employment history with a genuine desire for a long-term position
This role would suit a Technician who has progressed beyond routine servicing and fast-fit work and is confident dealing with more complex diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
