  • Basic Salary: £33,600 + Bonus
  • OTE: £42,500 (higher-performing technicians earning around £58,000)
  • Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday + Rota'd Saturdays

We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join a busy and established automotive dealership in Northampton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified technician to join a supportive workshop environment, with a strong basic salary, target-related bonus scheme and an earnings guarantee of £40,000 per annum for your first four months. The average technician earnings were £42,500 last year, with higher-performing technicians earning around £58,000.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out servicing, repairs, inspections and diagnostic work to a high standard.
  • Identify faults accurately and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and workshop productivity targets are consistently achieved.
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and keep up to date with relevant manufacturer training.
  • Follow all manufacturer and company quality standards and procedures.
  • Complete vehicle health checks accurately and ensure full compliance with required processes.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and professional working environment.
  • Work effectively as part of the wider aftersales and workshop team.
Requirements:
  • Relevant Level 3 qualification, such as City & Guilds or NVQ, as a minimum.
  • Previous experience carrying out vehicle servicing, repairs and inspections.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
  • MOT Tester qualification would be highly advantageous.
  • Previous experience within a franchised dealership is preferred but not essential.
  • A professional approach with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
