Our client, a well-established multi-site automotive retailer across Hampshire and the Southwest, is currently looking for a dedicated Diagnostic Technician to join their modern workshop in Southampton. Your main duties as a Vehicle Technician include:
  • Carrying out standard vehicle services and complex repairs following brand technical specifications
  • Diagnosing faults and issues using advanced diagnostic tools
  • Liaising directly with customers to communicate work required and ensure satisfaction
  • Supporting and mentoring less experienced colleagues
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Attending regular technical training sessions to keep skills current
Requirements for the Vehicle Technician role: 
  • Relevant City & Guilds, BTEC, or NVQ accreditation
  • Proven experience working in a franchise dealership or authorised workshop
  • Strong fault diagnosis skills with MOT Tester qualification 
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Passion for delivering excellent customer service
  • Organised, proactive, and capable of meeting deadlines
